HOW LONG DOES PERMANENT MAKEUP LAST FOR?

The longevity of permanent makeup can depend on a few variables, for instance if you love to tan and use sunbed regularly, it’s likely your enhancement will fade faster. It can also depend on the pigment colour you choose, lighter colours tend to fade faster than stronger, darker based colours. But permanent makeup can last in the skin for up to 6-7 years, depending on what your desired effect was when having it tattooed, however, it will not stay looking fresh for this long. Majority of clients will have their brows topped up anything between 1-3 years.

DOES IT HURT?

We often get asked this question “is it painful?” most of our clients tell us no. Some clients can be a little sensitive and will feel a scratching sensation, however if you read through some of Heidi’s reviews you will read that a lot of clients slept through the treatment. During your treatment we cause minimal skin trauma and use effective numbing agents for least discomfort.

HOW LONG DOES THE APPOINTMENT TAKE?

You will require two separate appointments to complete the look, these will be 4-8 weeks apart. For the first treatment you will need to allow for 3 hours, this gives us time to thoroughly go through medical forms, pigment colours, mapping and shaping of your new brows and the tattooing itself. This way you wont feel rushed and have time to play around with shapes and styles.

Your return treatment allow for up to 2 hours, this will include a discussion about any small changes you would like to make and time for retouch tattooing.

what is the recovery time for pmu ?

There isn’t much down time for most of our treatments and certainly doesn’t stop you doing most of your day-to-day activities. Main aftercare is just in the first 7 days after initial treatment, keeping the area clean of any makeup and facial products, no touching/picking the area, avoid steam rooms, saunas, swimming and sun, lastly applying any aftercare ointment provided to you. Heidi will provide you with full aftercare instructions to follow on your treatment day.
